Why should I choose Floodworx flood barriers? There’s lots of reasons! Here’s just a few… Fight water with water The best way to fight oncoming waters is with water itself. Once filled with water, the barrier acts as a weighted barrier between your property and flood waters. Many competitive products use sand, which is labor intensive, or gels or chemicals, which leave behind harmful messes. Floodworx barriers, on the other hand, use only water. When no longer needed, drain the water from your barriers and reuse it in your yard or garden…good for you and good for the environment! Fast and easy Floodworx barriers are lightweight and fast and easy to set up, use, drain and store away. They can be positioned in place and filled with a standard garden hose by 1-2 people. No additional labor or muscle required. Strong and durable We don’t compromise on the strength of our flood barriers. Floodworx barriers are made with the highest quality materials to stand up to tough waters. No mess It’s just the barrier and water – no sand, no gels, no chemicals, and no mess! Patented interlocking design Our patented interlocking design lets you join individual barriers seamlessly together to create a single layer of protection to meet your sizing need. You can quickly and easily add and/or remove as many barriers as needed and adapt to changing areas of coverage. Interlocked barriers help minimize leakage between gaps that other competitive bags may experience. Stays in place Each flood barrier is designed with a dual chamber, or a brake, that, when filled with water, stabilizes the barrier and prevents the barrier from rolling out of place. Reusable When no longer needed, barriers can be drained and compactly stored away for future use. Eco-friendly Our mission is to produce safe and effective flood barriers suitable for the environments in which we work, live and play. Since our barriers are filled with water, there are no sand or chemicals left behind that may be harmful to the environment. When disposing of barrier(s), please recycle. Excellent customer service Floodworx is committed to 100% customer satisfaction. We’ve got your back! Contact us with questions, comments and feedback anytime!

What are the dimensions of a barrier?
-
How many barriers do I need? The number of barriers needed depends on the length and height of the area that you want protected. Each filled Floodworx barrier is 4 ft. (L) x 9 in. (W) x 6 in.(H). Measure the length of area you need covered and divide by 4 to get the number of barriers needed to build a single layer barrier. This level will guard against oncoming water levels of 6 inches or less and should be sufficient for minor flooding. For water levels of 1 foot or less, you can stack a second layer of barriers on top of the first layer. We recommend stacking against a wall or stack in a pyramid formation for best stability. Floodworx barriers are recommended to guard against smaller amounts of flood waters. We do not recommend stacking barriers higher than 2 layers. We also do not recommend using Floodworx barriers for flood waters of 1 foot or higher or for serious flooding situations.
-
Can I stack the barriers?Yes! A single layer of Floodworx barriers can be used to guard against oncoming water levels of 6 inches or less.
-
What water level will the barriers protect against?Floodworx barriers are intended to guard against small or shallow water levels that result from moderate rainfall or other sources of steady water streams. We recommend using our barriers for water levels of one foot or less when using a single layer, and three feet or less when stacking the barriers. Floodworx barriers should not be used in serious flooding situations.
-
Which types of water can I use the barriers in?Floodworx barriers can be used in waters that are fresh, brackish or saltwater.
-
Can I use the barriers indoors?Yes, Floodworx barriers can be used indoors.
-
Can I use the barriers in winter/snow?Yes, Floodworx barriers can withstand cold temperatures of -4 degrees Farenheit (-20 degrees Celcius) or above. If using in cooler temperatures, fill barriers to no more than 2/3 full in order to allow room for the water to expand should it freeze.
-
Can I drive over the barrier(s)?Not unless you want to see a cool physics experiment! Although our barriers are made from material tough enough to stand up to demanding waters, when filled properly, our barriers cannot defy the basic principles of physics. If a car rolls over a barrier, the weight of the car will compress the water and air inside causing excess pressure. The water and air will have no choice but to go outward and will most likely burst the barrier. So, long story short, please try not to drive over your barriers!
-
Are Floodworx barriers safe for the environment? This is a tricky question. In order to ensure that Floodworx products have the strength and water-resistance capability to stand up to the toughest waters, we use materials in manufacturing that are not recommended for the environment. This is why we strongly encourage customers to dispose of their barriers in a responsible and safe way that is not harmful to the environment. Please visit www.vinylinfo.org/recycling-directory/ to find a recycling center near you. The good news is that using our products is 100% eco-friendly and is one of the most environmentally safe solutions on the market. Since our barriers are filled only with water, there are no chemicals, unnatural materials or messes left behind after use. Also, because you can reuse Floodworx flood barriers over and over, our products are naturally more environmentally friendly than most competitive products which can only be used once or twice.

Instructions
-
How do I set up the barrier(s)?
-
How do I join and interlock the barriers together?
-
How do I fill the barrier(s) with water?
-
How do I drain the barrier(s) after use? Before storing barriers, wipe the outside of each barrier dry and leave the barriers out to dry for a day or two with the valve undone so that moisture trapped inside the barrier can dissipate. It is best to store them in a dry, temperature-controlled place. If possible, you can hang the barriers so that the valve is at the bottom and undone, letting any leftover water from inside drain down and out the valve.
-
Which side should the brake face?
-
How much water is required to fill one barrier? One barrier requires approximately 9 gallons of water to fill the barrier to 75% or ¾ full.
-
How do I store the barriers? When storing your Floodworx barrier, ensure that your barrier is dry and the valve cap is uncapped before storing away. Barriers can be folded compactly and stored away for future use.
-
Can I reuse the barriers?Yes, Floodworx barriers are reusable and can be easily stored away for future use. We recommend drying barriers with a towel or rag after each use. If you can, lay barriers out to dry before packing them away to avoid mildew. Once dry, store them away until needed again.
